Bush Walking Trails

There are some great bushwalking trails on the Gold Coast, if you want to see more of the area and experience the tranquil nature and local wildlife.

Top walking trails include:

Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk –

The Tamborine rainforest skywalk is set in 30 acres of privately owned rainforest beside the crystal-clear rock pools of Ceder Creek on Mt Tamborine. The 1.5km walk includes the 40m high skywalk bridge and viewing platform, with a rainforest floor walking track. A unique and leisurely way to spend the day.

Tallebudgera Conservation Park

The park is located on the Burleigh Heads side of the pristine Tallebudgera Creek. A peaceful area which is quiet and relaxing. We recommend going early morning to experience the abundance of birdlife.

Palm Beach Parklands

There are two walks here, the first is Beree Badalla Boardwalk along Currumbin Creek and it’s best to do this during high tide to get the feeling you are walking on water. The next is Tarrabora Reserve; a small pocket of bushland right in the middle of the Gold Coast, wedged between the Gold Coast Highway and Currumbin Estuary at Palm Beach.

South Stradbroke Island

You can walk right around the island where you will feel totally isolated, even though there is life all around you. The Island is 21km in length and 2.5km wide – a great area to explore.
